Check filter and flushing water pipe to make sure
they are properly installed.
If no sewage connection is available, a collecting

basin (approx. 10 litres) must be provided.
Pull cover plate (8) down and check whether the
safety stop valve (7) is open (if necessary set
groove to vertical position using screwdriver). The
stop valve remains open at all times. Slide cover
plate back upwards.
Slowly open the stop valves before and after the
filter. Deaerate the pipework at the next bleed point
after the filter.
Check the seals of the installation and the filter.
The filter is now ready to use.

A backwash should be carried out if the water
pressure drops as a result of increasing levels of
dirt in the filter element, and in any case at least
every 2 months.
As a reminder the next backwash can be set on
the date ring (5).
We recommend carrying out a backwash once a
month, to avoid impurities settling on the filter cloth
(or more frequently for higher levels of dirt).
If no sewage connection is available, a collecting
basin (approx. 10 litres) must be provided.
1. Turn crank (3).
2. Turn rotating knob (2) approx. 4-5 times counter-
clockwise.
3. Immediately turn in opposite direction until it
stops. The process can be repeated for high
levels of dirt.
NOTICE
► The optimum operating pressure
of the product is between 2 and
8 bar.
► With an operating pressure in
excess of 8 bar, the amount of
backwash water is very high.
