INFORMATION
When closing the battery drawer, the release bolt must
engage in the recess provided for this purpose. The re-
lease bolt must be easy to see and touch on the underside
of the drive unit sustainer.

Defective batteries must be disposed of properly in ac-
cordance with country-specific regulations.

Requirements for the user
CAUTION
Risk of accidents and injury due to improper operation.
The power wheelchair may only be operated by a properly
trained user. For this purpose, the user and any attend-
ants must receive instruction in the use of the power
wheelchair from specialists trained and authorised by
Ottobock.
The user must have read and understood all the informa-
tion in the instructions for use.
The wheelchair may not be operated in cases of exhaus-
tion or under the influence of alcohol or medications.

The user must not have any mental limitations which can
temporarily or permanently restrict attentiveness and judg-
ment when driving in road traffic.
2.8
Safety functions
INFORMATION
In dangerous situations, the power wheelchair can be
turned off at any time using the on/off button. When the
button is pressed, the power wheelchair brakes immedi-
ately and the electric functions will be stopped.
If any malfunctions occur such as an insufficient supply of
energy to the brake, the software will recognise them and
trigger the emergency stop brake or reduce the speed of
the power wheelchair. At the same time, a warning signal
will be emitted.
