Filling internal refrigerant cylinder
WARNING - Risk of frostbite from
escaping refrigerant
Refrigerant causes severe frostbite on the
skin.
¶
Check the service hoses for damage.
¶
Firmly connect the service quick-release
couplings to the service hoses.
¶
Wear safety goggles.
¶
Wear protective gloves.
i
Before the ACS 810 can be used, the internal
refrigerant cylinder must be filled with liquid
refrigerant. Make exclusive use of R134a
refrigerant.
i
The refrigerant can be obtained from your gas
supplier. It can be stored normally and transported
in vessels with connection fittings.
!
The internal refrigerant cylinder should only be
replaced if it is severely damaged. The internal
refrigerant cylinder must always be filled using an
external refrigerant cylinder.
!
During filling, the external refrigerant cylinder must
be firmly positioned and the operator must ensure
that the service hoses are safely routed to avoid the
danger of the external refrigerant cylinder falling
over.
i
The optimum quantity is approx. 10 - 12 kg.
!
Do not interrupt the automatic filling process prior
to automatic termination by the ACS 810.
!
ACS 810 automatically empties the service hoses
and internal lines after charge of the internal
refrigerant cylinder using suction. This additional
quantity causes the actual filling capacity to
deviate + 500 g - 700 g from the filled in refrigerant
quantity.

Connection types of external refrigerant cylinder
$
External refrigerant cylinder with one valve:
Always turn this external refrigerant cylinder
upside down when filling the internal refrigerant
cylinder. Screw the adapter onto the connection
of the external refrigerant cylinder.
$
External refrigerant cylinder with two valves:
Screw the adapter onto the LIQUID connection
of the external refrigerant cylinder.
2. Connect the LP service hose to the adapter on the
external refrigerant cylinder.
3. Turn the LP valve to setting "O".
4. Open the valve on the external refrigerant cylinder.
6. Select "TANK FILLING" with o u and confirm with
E.
The max. quantity to be filled is displayed.
7. Enter filling capacity with <0 - 9> and confirm with
E.
Filling process starts.
i
The current pressure inside the external refrigerant
cylinder is indicated on the high/low-pressure
gauge.
i
ACS 810 ends the filling process when the entered
9. Close the valves of the external refrigerant cylinder
and of the LP service hose.
Automatic emptying starts.
Recovery phase completed (after approx. 2-4
minutes).
11. Disconnect the LP service hose and adapter from
the external refrigerant cylinder.
"
Internal refrigerant cylinder is full.
