Commissioning

Switching on the PRC7000
Dangerous electrical voltage
Possibility of cardiac arrhythmia, burns, shock!
Make sure that unauthorized persons do not work on/in the switch
"
cabinet.
During commissioning, medium-frequency inverters and other live
plant components are accessible at the open switch cabinet! This
reduces the safety of persons and the plant!
Prerequisite for commissioning is the proper installation and function
• of the entire mechanics of the welding equipment
• of all Emergency-Stop/Emergency-Halt devices
• of the electrical connection including all required sensors
• of the compressed air supply and cooling units.
" Make sure that the above mentioned prerequisites for commis­
sioning are met.
Activate the compressed air supply and the cooling units, should this

have to be done manually.
Switch on the 24V supply.

The display in the diagnosis module should be on „PRC7000" after
booting of the WT or at least display a sequence of numbers.
Connect a programming terminal with installed PRI7000 software

(for connection of programming terminal: refer to Section 7.2.4 from
page 272).
The matching data have to be configured in the timer reference of
the PRI7000 for a successful connection setup.
Check whether the I/O signals for communication with robots, PLC

or control panel are output/imported properly.
Check the proper programming of the welding tasks used (e.g. weld
5.
times, %I (heat), etc.).
Switch on the power supply of the inverter, if you have not already
6.
done so.
The inverter starts. After approx. 10 seconds the DC link is loaded to
full voltage.
The H2 Status Power Unit LED at the front side of the timer now has
to be lit green.
Check all emergency-stop equipment for correct function.
