Programming and operation

All necessary parameters are always kept in memory inside the timer.
Operation, programming and diagnosis are performed via the connec­
ted PC. The following options are available for connecting the PC:
• Ethernet XFE0
While the USB connection is intended for accessing a single timer only
(e.g. local programming), the Ethernet interface provides for the si­
multaneous connection of several timers.
Conditions for programming and operation at the PC:
• PC with operating system Windows 7 (with Microsoft®.NET Frame­
work 4.5).
• PRI7000 software (Process Resistance Welding Interface = welding
user interface)
• Ethernet Interface.
• Optional communication server
Via Software PRI7000 both online and offline programming is possible.
• offline: (in preparation)
no active connection to timer necessary.
Diagnosis or visualization are not possible.
Programming is carried out on the PC, where it is stored and can be
transferred to the timer later.
• online:
requires active connection to timer.
Diagnosis and visualization are possible.
Programming is carried out on the PC. Each parameter is retrieved
from the timer and written back to the timer. As a result, any parame­
ters that have been modified will take effect upon the next program
start of the system at the latest.
