4.1. Daily cleaning
Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents when cleaning the stainless steel parts.
The use of steel wool on the steel parts is to be avoided as it may cause the formation of rust. For the
same reason avoid contact with ferrous materials.
When cleaning you should not use sandpaper, or abrasive paper; in particular cases one can use a
powdered pumice stone.
In the case of particularly resistant dirt we recommend the use of abrasive sponges (e.g. Scotch-Brite).
It is recommended to clean when the appliance has cooled down.
i
When cleaning the appliance never use direct water jets which could result in infiltra-
tions and damage to the components.
The cooking vat is to be cleaned with water and detergent, then rinsed with lots of water and carefully
dried with a soft cloth.
The external surfaces are to be cleaned with a sponge dampened with warm water and detergent
suitable usually commercially available.
Always rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.
Note for the autoclave pans:
Do not use detergents that contain high amounts of sodium and ammonia to clean the lid gasket, as
they may damage it resulting in leaks in a short time.
4.2. Precaution in case of prolonged inactivity
In the event of prolonged shutdown of the appliance (holidays, seasonal work) it is to be thoroughly
cleaned by removing all residue and carefully drying it.
Leave the lid open so air can circulate inside the cooking vessel.
Protective substances can be used for the steel parts which are usually commercially available.
Fully close the water supply and shut off the gas.
The room should be sufficiently ventilated.
4.3. Precautions in case of malfunction
If during use, a malfunction occurs, immediately turn off the appliance and close or shut-off all supplies
(gas and water).
Request assistance from Technical Service or an specialist technician.
