4. UNPACK AND CONTENTS
When unpacking the unit ensure the correct unit and
all the relevant accessories are present. See 'pump
unit information' for guidance on unit selection,
information is displayed on the product label
indicating which model you have.
Pump Unit Information:
436977 - NEMP 40/4, 110Vac / 60Hz, ½" NPT
436978 - NEMP 40/4, 230Vac / 50Hz, ½"BSP
436979 - NEMP 50/7, 110Vac / 60Hz. ½" NPT
436980 - NEMP 50/7, 230Vac / 50Hz, ½" BSP
436981 - NEMP 80/6, 110Vac / 60Hz, ¾"NPT
436982 - NEMP 80/6, 230Vac / 50Hz, ¾"BSP
5. INSTALLATION
5.1 PUMP SET-UP
• Verify that all components are present.
• Check the pump unit and any accessories have
not been damaged during transit.
• Ensure inlet and outlet ports are free from dirt,
dust or packaging material.
• Pump can be mounted on any flat surface.
• The pump must be installed below the lowest
fluid level to maintain flooded suction.
• Fit pump in a dry, well ventilated position.
• If mounted vertically, ensure the motor is below
the pump head
• Install thread fittings with PTFE joint tape.
• Ensure electrical data corresponds to those
indicated on the product label and ensure correct
fuse is fitted in the power line (see section 8 for
recommended fuses
• All pump series can be installed in any position
with the pump axis in either vertical or horizontal
position.
• Before connecting the hoses, partially fill the
pump head with the liquid that needs to be
pumped (do not allow the pump to run dry in
the priming stages). Use hose clamps to connect
hose to inlet and outlet ports and on all hose tail
connections
It is the installer's responsibility to use hoses
with suitable properties. The loosening of
hose connections can cause ecological
and safety issues. Check all connections
after the initial installation and on a daily
basis thereafter. Tighten if required. It is
recommended the hose is installed prior to
installing electrical supply.
5.2 ELECTRICAL CONFIGURATION
ENSURE POWER SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF BEFORE
CONNECTION WIRING DETAILS 115VAC/60Hz:
• Lead wire / green insulation - Earth (ground)
• Lead wire / black insulation - Live (hot)
• Lead wire / white insulation - Neutral
WIRING DETAILS - 230VAC/50Hz
• Lead wire / blue insulation – Neutral
• Lead wire / brown insulation - Live (hot)
• Lead wire / green/yellow insulation - Earth
(ground)
