Neutral adjustment
When making neutral adjustment, keep hands,
hair, clothing, and tools away from rotating
belts. Carelessness or improper attention may
result in serious injury.
1. Block the front tires.
2. Using a floor jack or chain hoist, elevate the rear of the
tractor so that the wheels do not contact the ground.
Position jackstands under the rear frame.
Lift using only the back plate or
catcher support arms.
3. Remove the left rear wheel (D).
4. Using a 17 mm wrench, loosen the jam nut (I).
5. Activate the seat switch and then depress the brake
pedal. Start the engine.
6. Release the brake pedal.
7. Using an 8 mm wrench, adjust neutral by turning the
eccentric (J) to find neutral.
8. Once neutral has been established, hold the eccentric
(J) in place and secure with the jam nut (I).
9. Shut off the engine, reinstall the wheel, and test run.
