6. Adjustment
The Mobil PGA 3 (or laptop) associated with
the VARIOLUB monitoring system is required
to achieve exact adjustment of the low rate.
This unit is connected to the respective pulse
measuring unit (IPM-12) that monitors the
low meter to be adjusted.
A comparison of actual and speciied values
should be made with the help of the pulse
measuring unit before starting with the adjust-
ment of the low meter.
For the exact procedure consult the operating
instructions "VARIOLUB monitoring system for
low meter lubrication systems", order No.
951-130-310 (PGA 3).
The following data apply to the basic settings:
SMD 1B .............. 1 pulse = 2.6 ml
SMD 2 ................ 1 pulse = 9.3 ml
SMD 3 ................ 1 pulse = 39 ml

Connecting the PGA 3 Programming and
Display Unit
•
Connect the Mobile PGA 3 (1) to the pulse
1
measuring unit (IPM-12) (2)
•
Insert an allen key (WAF 4) (3) in the
throttle screw (4) of the low meter to be
adjusted
•
Using the pulse measuring unit (IPM12),
select the measuring point of the low
meter (4) to be adjusted
See 951-130-310 (PGA 3), Chapter 5.1.2
"Comparison of IPM-12 speciied and
actual values"
Reading out the actual and speciied values
•
Read out the speciied and actual values
with the Mobile PGA 3 (Programming and
Display Unit)
See 951-130-310 (PGA 3), Chapter 5.3
"Reading out the speciied and actual values"
Adjusting the throttle screw
•
Change the setting of the throttle screw
(4) with an allen key (3) until the actual
value matches the speciied value on the
display of the Mobile PGA 3 (1)
The low rate drops when the throttle
screw is turned clockwise and rises when
turned counterclockwise.
