12) Format: Deleting All Files
® This function deletes all files on the Voice Tracer, including all pro-
grammed FM radio stations!
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop
mode, press the STOP/MENU
button for a few moments (Fig-
ure 13-1).
(2) Press the NEXT button repeat-
edly until "FRMAT" is shown
on the display (Figure 23-1).
(3) Press the PLAY button briefly and "N"
blinks on the display (Figure 23-2).
(4) Press the NEXT button to change the indi-
cator to "Y" (Figure 23-3).
(5) Press the PLAY button to format the Voice
Tracer and delete all files on it (Figure 23-4, 5).
13) Version: Displaying the Firmware Version and
Release Date
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop
mode, press the STOP/MENU
button for a few moments (Fig-
ure 13-1).

14) Split: Splitting a File Into Two Files
® This function is only available in voice folders.
(1) Stop at the point where you want to split the file.
(2) With the Voice Tracer in Stop mode, press the STOP/MENU button
for a few moments (Figure 13-1).
(3) Press the BACK button 2 times. "SPLIT" is
shown on the display (Figure 26-1).
(4) Press the PLAY button briefly. The indicator
"n" blinks on the display (Figure 26-2).
(5) Press the NEXT button to change the indi-
cator to "Y" (Figure 26-3).
(6) Press the PLAY button and then the STOP/
MENU button to exit Menu mode.
® It is not possible to split a file when the
Voice Tracer memory is full or when there
are 99 files in the respective folder (Figure
26-4).
15) Divide: Automatically Recording to a New File Every
30/60 Minutes
® This function is only available in voice folders.
(1) With the Voice Tracer in Stop mode, press the STOP/MENU button
for a few moments (Figure 13-1).
