IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the SIM card is properly placed in the SIM card door and does not rest on
the ribs.
5 Place the SIM card door back into its position. Start with the edge opposite to the screw.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the SIM card door tab slots into the chassis opening.
6 Apply pressure on the SIM card door and tighten the M2 countersunk Phillips screw.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the SIM card door is firmly screwed and the dark blue SIM
card door O-ring cannot be seen.
7 Install the battery.

Installing the Battery

IMPORTANT: The following procedure must be performed only in non-hazardous environment.
Procedure:
1 Remove the battery from its protective case.
2 Insert the battery top into the compartment. Ensure that the latches on the radio fit into the slots
on the battery.
3 Carefully slide the battery from the bottom toward the top of the radio until it clicks into place.
