TRANSPORT AND HANDLING

II.1.1

PACKAGING AND COMPONENTS

DANGER!
DO NOT OPEN OR TAMPER WITH THE PACKAGING
BEFORE INSTALLATION.
The units should only be moved and lifted by
specialized personnel trained in these operations.

The units are supplied in a cardboard crate, loaded onto a wooden
pallet, secured with 4 screws and banded.
The following components are supplied with the machine:
• user instructions;
• wiring diagram;
• list of authorised service centres;
• warranty documents;
• certificates for the safety valves;
• user and service manuals for the safety valves and the fans.
• 2 no. flared pipes for the valves.
II.1.2

HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER!
The off-centre position of the centre of gravity
could give rise to sudden and dangerous
movements. Movement of the unit should be
performed with care, in order to avoid damage to
the external structure and to the internal
mechanical and electrical components. Also make
sure that there are no obstacles or people blocking
the route, to avoid the danger of collisions or
crushing and to prevent the lifting or handling
device from turning over.

Transport the machine with its packaging
intact as far as the installation site, using
a forklift or pallet truck, taking care
because the centre of gravity is not in the
geometrical centre. The position of the
symbol indicating the centre of gravity is
approximate only: always check stability.

If the machine has to be moved when it is out of its packaging, it
must be done by taking it off the pallet and/or setting the machine
on the ground, having first removed the four fixing screws. All
moving operations must be carried out with the greatest attention
and care. Do not on any account use this method for any lifting or
moving operations other than those described.

ATTENTION
For lifting a unit which is not in its packaging, use textile slings in good
condition, with padding on sharp corners. Hoist the machine as shown
in Fig. 6, passing the slings through the specially provided
passageways in the base. Take the strain on the slings, checking that
they remain properly attached to the lifting-hook; lift the unit a few
centimetres (50cm. maximum), then, only after checking the stability of
the load, slide the pallet out, taking care not to trap any parts of the
body, to eliminate any possible risk of crushing or any other injury if the
load drops or shifts suddenly (Fig. 7). Lower the machine slowly and
then settle it on the ground.
