Mounting external cover
Only mount external cover once the
i
external plastering is complete.
Formation of surface rust: External
i
factors (e.g. air containing sulphur
dioxide or salt, dust containing iron etc.)
may cause surface rust to form on stain-
less steel. We recommend thoroughly
cleaning unpainted stainless steel exter-
nal covers before mounting (remove
dust and finger-prints) and rub in a little
oil (e.g. care oil for stainless steel).

Mounting
! CAUTION
1. Once the external plastering is complete,
remove the plaster protective cover.
2. Take front cover [F] off housing [G] of
external cover.
3. Align housing [G] horizontally and centred
with wall sleeve, mark 4 fixing holes,
position dowels and screw down housing
to external wall with 4 screws. Suitable
mounting material is to be supplied by the
customer.
4. Seal bottom third of spaces between wall
sleeve and housing [G] with permanently
elastic and weatherproof sealant e.g.
sealing strips [S1]) (silicone).
5. Press front cover [F] onto housing [G] so
it engages all the way round. Also secure
stainless steel front cover with a screw.
6. Seal front cover to external wall with per-
manently elastic and weatherproof sealant
Arrows [S2]. Suitable sealing material is
to be supplied by the customer.
Exercise caution when handling
housing parts with sharp edges,
e.g. stainless steel external covers
Wear protective gloves.
