b) Installing the Receiver
Use servo tape to install the receiver (1) on the
right side of the chassis.
Connect the servos and gyro to the receiver in the
order the remote control indicates for controlling
helicopters.
Fasten all cables with cable-ties (2) so that they
can not catch in some rotating drive parts or
linkage rods.
Servo tapes lose their adhesive strength over time and in particular at low temperatures. Due to this, we
recommend verifying the tight fit of the receiver or to secure it additionally – e.g. with a cable binder. In
case of receivers with replaceable crystals, we also recommend securing the crystal with adhesive tape.
c) Placing the Receiver aerial
Where there is a 2.4 gHz receiver system in the
helicopter, you may skip this item due to the short
length of the aerials. In case of 2.4 gHz receivers
for aerial placement, installation of short Bowden
tie pipes is recommended for guiding the short
aerial cables.
For this, always observe the notes on the operating
instructions of the remote control.
Use instant adhesive to attach a short piece of a
Bowden tie pipe (1) at the right side of the skid
gear. There are places at the skid gear that are
intended for this. Guide the aerial wire (2) forwards
first and then backwards to the tail boom pipe.
Fasten the aerial wire with a cable-tie (3).
When placing the aerial wire, always observe that the aerial wire must never – not even in case of
3D-flight – be caught in the gear, rear rotor or main rotor and tear.
