Air filter
Replace the filter element:
–
when the filter element is damaged
Attention
–
if there is wet or oily contamination
–
after six cleanings
–
if motor performance suffers
–
at least once a year
When cleaning the machine with a pressure
washer, do not hold it directly over the air filter or
pre-separator.
Never use petrol or cleaning solutions with a low
flash point to clean the air filter element.
In the work area, do not smoke, and prevent open
flames or sparks. These pose a fire or explosion
hazard!
Never run the motor without an air filter.
Do not allow dirt into the air channel and carburet-
tor.

Clean the intakes (1).

Loosen the wing nuts (2).

Remove and clean the filter cover (3) with the wing nut.
•
Carefully pull the filter cartridge (4) out of the filter housing (5).

Clean the filter housing (5), especially at the back.

Hold the filter cartridge (4) at an angle up to the light, or shine
lamplight through it, and check it for tears and other damage.

Blow dry compressed air (max. 5 bar) through the filter car-
tridge (4) from the inside out.
Wear safety glasses - eye hazard!

Note the number of filter cartridge cleanings.

Carefully install the filter cartridge (4).
•
Put on the filter cover (3).
