3. Operating and display elements
The ReFLEX 200 multi charger is fitted with two 12-level rotary switches for
setting the number of cells and the charging current.

Cell selection
To calculate the number of cells, a voltage of 1.2V per
cell is assumed.
Example:
Nominal accumulator voltage = 7.2V
Resulting number of cells = 6 cells
Charging current
The typical charging current of the accumulator is
equivalent to 1.5C - 2C. If the current value cannot be
adjusted exactly, the next-lowest current value is
selected.
Example:
A 1700mAh accumulator can be set to a charging current
of 3A.
With mixed NiCd cells designed for boost charge,
charging currents of up to 4C are possible, with NiCd
accumulators with sintered electrodes, charging currents
of up to 5C are possible. (Note the manufacturer's
specifications and temperature of the accumulator!)
However, NiMH accumulators must be charged with 1.5C
to 2C. A higher charging current is only allowed if the
accumulator manufacturer permits higher C rates.
