9. Parameter Description

key you can change Having entered the programming mode (see chap-
ter 8) you can configure the parameters described
below. Depending on the settings chosen only the
menu items that are relevant for the application
will be shown.
Description
Language
Determines the language of the menu items.
Input of decimal places
Displayed value after one revolution
Value by which the display increases or decreases after exactly one revolu-
tion. With APU = 0, there is automatic quadruple evaluation of the encoder
signal.
Display divisor
Divisor by which the display accuracy is reduced compared to the measuring
accuracy. Example: Due to a non-integer value ratio, the measuring resolu-
tion is programmed to 1/1000mm. The display, however, needs a resolution
of 1/10mm only. -> Therefore, a display divisor of '100' is chosen.
Encoder pulses per revolution
If INCR: = 0, quadruple evaluation of the encoder signal takes place auto-
matically.
Counting direction of the measuring system
'c'' clockwise positive
'cc' counter-clockwise positive
Input of logic and length of the encoder's reference signal
The encoder reference signal is output only once per revolution.
'lang' index signal is wider than one increment; index is linked with A and
B signals.
'kurz' index signal is exactly as wide as one increment
'0' index signal with positive logic
'I' index signal with negative logic
Type of contact of the reference point encoder; can either be a mechanical
switch or a proximity switch.
'schlie.' normally open contact
'öffner' normally closed contact
'hand' referencing anywhere via keyboard ( independent of A, B, index sig-
nals). The input is earth-switching and edge-controlled.
Input of reference value
Reference point of the measuring system. The value is set when the system is
referenced according to chapter 6.
Input of offset value
Freely selectable value which influences the display. For example, offset can
be used as tool correction or offset measure
