Brake – V Brake – Rim Brake
Adjusting the V Brake
Loosen the cable clip screw a with an Allen key. Continue to pull the brake cable whilst manually pressing together the bra
king pads until the brake liner is positioned as near as possible (approx. 2mm) to the rim. Tighten the cable clip screw again.
With the adjusting screws b it is possible to set the braking arms' c suspension force ensuring that both braking arms
move centrally to the rim.

Should the brakes be stiff the bearing axles d have to be re-lubricated. Only allow this work to be carried out in a specialist
workshop.
For safety reasons, we recommend that adjusting work to the braking system should only be carried out by qua-
lified personnel. KETTLER cannot accept any liability for any damage resulting from incorrect brake assembly
work. When being replaced only use brake pads which are labelled as suitable for the rim, otherwise there could
be increased wear and tear as well as a reduction in braking power. Your specialist dealer is more than happy to
