14 Decommissioning

14.1 Deactivating the device
f To deactivate the device, pull out the
activation button.

14.2 Final decommissioning

The smoke alarm device will reach the end
of its useful life at the latest after 12 years
of usage according to the intended purpose.
f Replace the device at the end of this
useful life.

14.3 Disposal
According to the German Electrical and
Electronic Devices Act (ElektroG), this
product should never be placed in do-
mestic waste.
f Return the device to be disposed to
the manufacturer for further recy-
cling, hand it over to your local waste
disposal company or to the return
facilities established by the manufac-
turer. You can find a directory of the
return facilities online at:

f Please note that the environment
can be damaged by improper
disposal.
