4 - MACHINE INSTALLATION
4.1 Warnings
Installation must be carried out by qualified staff,
following the instructions provided by the manu-
facturer and in observance of the current laws in
force.
4.2 Preparation of the plant for in-
stallation
Prepare the base for the machine on a flat, dry,
smooth, strong, stable surface, placed high enough
so that the cup heating shelf is more than 150 cm
from the ground.
Do not use jets of water or install the machine in
places where water jets are used.
To ensure normal running, the machine must be in-
stalled in places with a temperature range of +5°C
- +32°C and with maximum humidity of 70%.
The machine is powered electrically and needs the
following to function:
- connection to the electrical network
- connection to water network
- connection to drain circuit
4.2.1 Connection to the electrical
network
Warnings:
- The plant must be built in compliance with the
current laws in force and be earthed.
The machine must be supplied with an electrical
power cable with a fitted plug.
4.2.2 Connection to the water network
(R version)
Make sure that the water supply installation is con-
nected to drinkable water supply with operating
pressure ranging from 0 to 6 bar (0 - 0,6 Mpa).
Should the pressure be above 6 bar (0,6 Mpa),
provide a reducer.
Provide an intercepting tap upstream the machine
connection (Fig. 01; pos 4).
A pipe with G 3/8" nipple is provided for the wa-
ter supply connection.
4.2.3 Connection to the drain
(R version)
Connect a rubber pipe (Fig. 01; pos 13) with in-
ner diameter of 10 mm to the arranged connec-
tor of the machine drain well and join it with the
open drain-trap, previously prepared.
4.3 Equipotential connection
(Fig. 04)
The function of this connection, required by
some standards, is to prevent the electric poten-
tial differences between the masses of the differ-
ent equipment installed in the same place. This
device is provided with a terminal installed un-
der the base to connect an external wire having
a rated section in compliance with the current
regulations.
4.4 Group lever assembly
The machine is delivered with the group lever
(Fig. 01; pos. 2) disassembled. Before use, fully
screw the group lever on the joint as indicated in
Fig. 10.
5 - USE OF THE MACHINE
5.1 First machine start and water
loading in the boiler
Turn on the water supply tap (R version)
Pour water into the tank, (S Version) (Fig. 03).
Warnings:
- Use water at ambient temperature
Insert the plug in the electrical socket.
Turn the main switch (Fig. 01; pos. 1) to position 1.
Water is automatically loaded into the boiler.
If the lights remain off after water loading operation,
switch off and on the machine until the lights turn on.
5.2 Heating
To ensure that the machine has reached the
proper thermal balance between pressure and
temperature, when the boiler's gauge (Fig. 01;
pos. 14) will indicate a pressure between 1 and
1.2 bar (0.1 – 0.12 MPa), open the steam tap
(Fig. 01; pos. 9) and exhaust the steam 2 or 3
times in the discharge basin.
The safety light (Fig. 01; pos. 12), if on, points out
the machine is in working order; if off, it means
