the pulse-width value. The pulse of set pulse-width will be output at the end of "output A".
It is well known that the pulse-width cannot be 0. It cannot be greater than or equal to the pulse period value.
Otherwise, no pulse is output. In order to insure the normal output of pulse waveform, the pulse-width setting
is limited to the minimum value of 50ns. As for the maximum value, it should be 50ns less than pulse period
value.
5.1.10 Setting of duty cycle:
For convenience, pulse waveform can be set and displayed in the way of pulse-width. It can also be set and
displayed in the way of duty cycle. The two variables change simultaneously when setting. They are
changed to green. But the real working mode inside the generator is pulse-width. The duty cycle is
conversed at the same time. For the conversion less than 0.01%, the duty displays 0.00%. For the
conversion greater than 99.99%, the duty displays 99.99%.
5.1.11 Saving and recalling of parameters:
Sometimes, some different combinations of parameters are used repeatedly. For example, repeated setting
the parameters such as frequency, amplitude, offset, waveform and so on is very boring. It will be
convenient for us to use saving and recalling function. After the first group of parameters are set, press the
key of (Option 5) and select "Store". And then press the keys of (1) and (No.) so that the first group of
parameters is stored. 40 groups of parameter combinations can be stored at most. The storing uses non-
losable memorizer so that they will not be lost even if the power is off.
Hereafter, press the key of (Option 5), select "Recall", enter recalling number and then press the key of
(No.), the specific parameters can be recalled. It will be much more convenient to use if storing the common-
used parameter combinations.
Select "recall parameters" and press the keys of (0) and (No.), the default parameters will be recalled.
Storing and recalling of parameters are optional function of system setup. But in practice, parameters of
frequency of channel A needs to be often saved and recalled. The two interfaces of "frequency of channel A"
and "system setting" will be changed frequently. So the selection item of saving and recalling in the interface
of "system setting" is copied into the interface of "frequency of channel A" as a shortcut way to operate
easily and simply.
5.1.12 Frequency/amplitude step:
For the function of "frequency of channel A", frequency step and amplitude step can be used to generate a
group of equidistant frequencies or amplitudes. It is very convenient. It will not be introduced here because it
has been described in details in the item of 3.1.5. Step entering method can only be used in the frequency or
amplitude of channel A.
5.2 Frequency of channel B
Press the key of (Tone) to select the function of "CHB Tone".
5.2.1 Setting of frequency of channel B:
Press the key of (Option 1) and select "CHB Freq". The present frequency will be changed to green. The
frequency value can be entered either by the number keys or by the knob. The signal of the frequency will
be output at the end of "output B". The unit of the frequency will be "Hz". Press (MHz), (kHz) and (Hz) to end
the entering. The resolution is 10mHz and no low-frequency way for channel B. So, the keys of (mHz) and
(μHz) cannot be used.
