Checking and adjusting the bevel angle (À g. A1,
A2, H)
The positions for length cuts and 45° mitre cuts are preset.
‰ Pull the rotary disk detent pin (8) up and move it a quarter
turn counter clockwise (À g. A1).
‰ Release the rotary disk lock (3). The grip allows a ratchet-
like action if complete rotation of the grip is not possible.
‰ Hold the operating handle (14) (À g. A2), unlock the
blade guard (13) and move the saw head about halfway
down (À g. A1).
‰ Turn the saw head with the rotary disk to the desired
position.
‰ Press the rotary disk lock (3). The rotary disk's (8) detent
pin automatically locks (À g. A1).
Using the red marks (68), the rotary disk (5) can be adjusted
on each angle between 0° and 45° left or right (À g. H).
‰ Proceed as with the default settings. The rotary disk's de-
tent pin cannot be used for intermediate angle values.
WARNING: Always make a test cut in scrap
wood to check the precision of the adjustments.
Setting the stop (À g. J1, J2)
The movable part of the left side of the stop can be adjusted
to achieve maximal support of the work piece in the area of
the saw blade, and at the same time to allow the saw to be
tilted a full 45° leftward. The sliding range is limited by stops
in both directions. To adjust the stop (7):
‰ Pull the level upward (72) to release the stop (7).
‰ Slide the stop leftward.
‰ Make a test run with the saw turned o , and check the
clearance. Adjust the stop in such a way that it is as
close to the saw blade as practical and that it supports
the work piece without inhibiting vertical movement of
the saw arm.
‰ Press the lever (72) downward to secure the stop.
Checking and adjusting the tilt angle (À g. J1,
K1, K2)
‰ Slide the side stop as far as possible to the left (À g. J1).
‰ Loosen the tilt lock lever (22) and slide the saw head to
the left. This is the 45° tilt position.
‰ If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
‰ Turn the stop screw (73) inward or outward until the
indicator (74) shows 45°.
INSTALLATION FOR SAW TABLE
OPERATION
Converting from mitre saw to saw table opera-
tion (À g. A1–A3, E2, L1, L2)
‰ Set the saw blade to the 0° length cut setting with the
detent pin (8) in the right position and the rotary disk
lock (3) secured (À g. A1).
‰ Loosen the locking screw (75) to the splinter and kickback
guard only far enough for the splinter and kickback
guard to enter the installation slot (À g. L1).
‰ Take the splinter and kickback guard (16) out of its stor-
age compartment on the saw head (À g. A2).
‰ Press the release lever (13) to the safety cover to release
the blade guard (12). Pull the blade guard up as far as
possible (À g. A1).
‰ Slide the splinter and kickback guard (76) completely
into the installation slot (77) (À g. L1). Tighten the locking
bolt.
‰ Gently loosen the lower safety cover until it is held in
place behind the corner that protrudes from the interior
of the splinter and kickback guard.
‰ Remove the under-table safety cover.
‰ Pull the saw head down and turn the height adjuster (23)
until its U hanger (56) snaps into the pin on the base
(À g. E2).
‰ Turn the adjustment wheel (55) on the adjuster so that the
saw blade and the splinter and kickback guard project
from the saw table (24) (À g. A3), to achieve maximum
cutting depth in table saw mode.
WARNING: The saw blade must not touch
the lower blade guard.
‰ Pull the table release lever (2) leftward, pull the front
side of the saw table up and fold it 180°, until the teeth
of the saw table lock (20) automatically lock the saw
blade release lever in the position for table saw mode
(À g. L2).
WARNING: Be careful not to lose control of
the table's movement.
Splinter and kickback guard position (À g. M)
‰ Attach the splinter and kickback guard (16) as described
above. After installation, the splinter and kickback guard
requires no adjustment.
Attaching the upper blade guard (À g. N)
The upper blade guard (25) is designed for fast, easy attach-
ment using a spring-equipped plunger pin that grips in the
