11. Handling
• Operation is only permissible in dry, indoor areas. The charging station (and a
connected accumulator/accumulator pack) may not become damp or wet.
• Place the charging station on a level, firm area. This must be big enough for the
connected accumulator/accumulator pack to be positioned alongside it.
The accumulator/accumulator pack may not be placed on or below the charging
station!
Make sure that the set-up area is not made of inflammable material (e.g. carpet), If
necessary, use an appropriate inflammable underlay.
Although the charging station has numerous safety functions, it can never be
completely ruled out that excessive heating of the accumulator takes place. The use
of charging cables which are too thin and any contact problems which may arise can
also lead to problems.
Do not place the device on valuable furniture surfaces (not even for safety custody
when not being used) as chemical reactions could lead to discoloration due to the
rubber feet. Apart from this, pressure points (indentations) are also possible. Use an
appropriate underlay.
• When you set up your computer, make sure that the mains power cable which you use
is neither kinked nor pinched. Position the charging station, the accumulator and the
cable so that no-one can trip over them.
• Never operate the charging station without supervision.
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions at the installation location or
during transportation:
- strong or direct sunlight
- excessive wetness or air humidity
- extreme cold or heat
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- strong vibration
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or
loudspeakers.
• Never connect your charger to the mains voltage immediately after it has been taken
from a cold room to a warm one. The condensation arising could destroy the device.
There is risk of a fatal electric shock!
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. This may
take several hours under certain circumstances.
• Ensure that no part of the insulation of the product is damaged nor destroyed. Never
open it or take it apart.
• Check the product for damage every time it is used.
