• The chain must be sufficiently lubricated at all times since it may otherwise tear. The
backpedalling brake is no longer functional then in models with a backpedalling

Clean and oil the chain at regular intervals (in particular after rides in the rain) with fine oil or chain
spray. Dab off excess oil with a rag.
CHAIN TENSION
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• If the chain is not tensioned enough, it may jump off during the ride. In that case,
WARNING!
the back-pedalling brake will no longer be functional!
An incorrectly tensioned chain may cause increased
wear and may cause annoying sounds during the ride.
The usage-related elongation of the chain requires regu-
lar inspection of the chain tension.
CHECK CHAIN TENSION
1. Put the E-bike onto the stand.
2. Check that the chain can be pushed through up or
downwards by max. 10-15 mm (

• The rear wheel must be placed straight in the axle holder, since the braking or
riding performance may otherwise be impaired.
• Tighten all screws and nuts that you loosened again well. Check that the safety

washer is placed correctly. The rear wheel may otherwise come loose during the
ride! Perform a careful test ride after installation.
HUB GEARSHIFT WITHOUT SWITCHBOX
1. Release the axle nuts
15 or 18 mm wrench.
2. Shift the rear wheel to adjust the chain tension.
3. Ensure that the wheel is placed straight in the holder and that
the chain is appropriately tensioned.
4. Attach the wheel with the axle nuts on both sides with a 15 mm
(ONLY FOR MODELS WITH HUB GEARSHIFT)
