DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner and dispose of
it in a recycling centre.
The adjacent symbol (crossed-out dustbin with underline) means that old appliances
should not be disposed of with household waste but should be taken to special
collection and return systems.
Owners of old appliances from private households can hand them in free of charge at
the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the take-back centres
set up by manufacturers and representatives in accordance with the ElektroG so that
they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and valuable raw
materials can be recovered. Improper disposal can release toxic substances into the
environment that are harmful to the health of humans, animals and plants. Shops that
make electrical and electronic appliances available on the market are also obliged to
take them back.
Waste avoidance makes an even more valuable contribution to environmental
protection. Therefore, where possible, in addition to continuing to use or
repair the product yourself, handing it over to a second user is also an
ecologically valuable alternative to disposing of it.
