The Steep and Deep seat tube allows the use of long-travel dropper posts on all frame sizes, giving you a wider
choice of size while knowing that the seat height will always be correct (see the table of maximum and minimum
heights of dropper posts in this section).
A frame with a shorter reach will be more agile and manageable, while a frame with a longer reach will be more sta-
ble at high speeds. Choose the size that best suits your needs.
MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM SADDLE HEIGHTS WITH DROPPER SEATPOST
The following table gives the maximum and minimum saddle heights (in millimetres) with the dropper seatpost in
the extended position for each frame size.
Maximum saddle height refers to the height of the saddle with the seatpost installed at its minimum insertion, de-
fined by the seatpost.
Minimum height refers to the height of the saddle with the seatpost installed at its maximum insertion, defined by
the frame.
Maximum and minimum heights are only given for the dropper seatpost and saddle options assembled by Orbea
for a specific frame. For these dimensions when using a different dropper seatpost, see the seatpost manufac-
turer's specifications and refer to the maximum frame insertion measurements in the technical specifications sec-
tion of this manual.
The dimensions on the following table define the distance between the centre of the bottom bracket shell and
the middle of the upper part of the saddle (saddle models assembled by Orbea).
Different saddles on the market can change the dimensions given by +/-5 mm depending on the height of the
saddle model. If your saddle height differs from a given dimension by less than 5 mm, it is possible to adjust this
height by installing a different commercially available saddle model.
If your saddle height differs from the given dimensions by more than 5 mm, you should choose a longer or short-
er travel dropper seatpost.
