Compact Ventilation Units AIR1 XC

Danger to life due to the compact ventilation unit falling down!
Before installing the unit, it must be ensured that the ceiling and/or the mounting components used can withstand
the heavy weight and vibration of the compact ventilation unit. Unsuitable mounting material can lead to the unit
falling uncontrollably from the ceiling. There is danger to life due to the heavy weight! Furthermore, it can also lead
to a large amount of material damage!
Depending on the mounting, another safeguard must be implemented to secure the compact ventilation unit
against falling uncontrollably!
Four or six mounting brackets (see Fig. 5) with vibration dampers (included in scope of delivery) are mounted to the unit
for ceiling installation. The ceiling installation takes place e.g. with threaded rods (see Fig. 6) or appropriate mounting
accessories.
222 Condensation outlet
The humidity of extract air condenses to water during the heating period. A lot of condensate can build up in new buil-
dings with large numbers of people. The condensate collected in the stainless steel condensation tub is discharged via
two condensation outlets.
The drainage pipe route must not rise above the siphon!
Condensate water can be easily removed from the condensate piping If the automatic discharge of condensa-
te water is not ensured, a suitable condensate pump (accessories: AIR1-KP XC) must be used
The condensation outlet must be made frost-proof!
The unit has two condensation outlet pipes for the weather conditions in winter (1 /Fig. 10, Fig. 11) and summer (2 /
Fig. 10, Fig. 11).
1. Remove the condensate caps (Fig. 9).
It must be ensured that the condensation outlet pipes are connected separately.
– Existing drainage systems must not be directly connected to the waste water system.
The condensate water pipes must only be connected to the waste water system via an odour trap (siphon). The con-
densate must flow freely into the waste water system after the siphon.
A flexible condensate connection to the unit is recommended, since it must be removed during maintenance work on
the heat exchanger.
