CAUTION: Due to the altered speed levels, there are different DCC commands for the brake
generator at the output that are no longer synchronous with the control centre. The separating
points to the stopping sections are therefore not to be driven over as this could cause
short circuits! On the contrary, a superordinate logic is to ensure that the supply in the stopping
sections is switched over after the complete train has entered this section. This task can be
ideally completed by the signal module 10777.
As is stated in the signal module 10777 instructions , it is able to detect three logic stati:
1. Green: for starting or transit, the Z21 power supply is fed
2. Red: the train enters the signal section with a Z21 power supply
3. Red: the train reaches circuit track "C" and switches the power supply to "brake generator" in a split
second.
If the signal changes from "Red" to "Green", the brake generator feed is replaced by the Z21 feed.
Should you prefer to use dry reed contacts instead of the circuit tracks, each train is to be equipped with
a magnet on the leading vehicle.
The following graphic shows a (not to scale) example for the connection of a 4-aspects light signal 10777
with automatic and brake generator. It is imperative that the maximum train lengths and braking distanc-
es are observed when planning the separating points and the circuit tracks.
