• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the product and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Spare parts
can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for the product.

tic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of
choking or suffocating!

Operation
The hedge trimmer is equipped with high-quality
blades. The cutting teeth move back and forth linear-
ly during the cutting process. The impact protection at
the tip of the cutter bar prevents unpleasant kickbacks
when coming into contact with walls, fences, etc. To
protect the user, the product has a two-hand safety
switch and a quick-stop brake function. The hand guard
also protects against branches and twigs.
m WARNING
Danger of injury!
The on/off switch and the safety switch must not be
locked!
• Do not work with the product if the switches are
damaged. The on/off switch and the safety switch
must switch off the product when released.
• Make sure the product is in working order before
each use.
m WARNING
Wear suitable clothing and work gloves when
working with the product.
Always wear eye protection and hearing protec-
tion.
Negligent use of personal protective equipment
(PPE)
Careless use or omission of personal protective equip-
ment may result in serious injury.
m WARNING
Electric shock and damage to the product possi-
ble!
Contact with a live cable during cutting can result in
electric shock. Cutting into foreign objects can cause
damage to the cutter bar.
• Scan hedges and bushes for hidden objects, such
as live wires, wire fences and plant supports, before
cutting.
ATTENTION
Blunt blades overload the product! Do not use the prod-
uct if the cutters are faulty or heavily worn.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
9.1. Switching the product on/off (Fig. 1)
Note: Before switching on, make sure that the product
does not touch any objects.

Before switching on the product, pull the blade
guard off the cutter bar (1).

For strain relief, form a loop with the end of the
extension cable, feed it through the opening on the
handle and hook it into the strain relief (9) on the
handle.

Connect the device to the mains voltage.

Press and hold down the safety switch (3) on the
front handle (3).

To switch on the product, push the on/off switch
(7).
6.
To switch it off, simply release the on/off switch (7).

The handle (8) has 5 positions:

Pull the lock (6) back and turn the handle (8) to the
desired position.

Release the unlocking mechanism (6) and the
handle (8) latches into place.
