▶ Press the on/off button to switch the laser on or off.

Adjusting inclination
6.4.1
Directly entering an inclination value
1. Switch the laser on. → page 27
2. Press the SET button.
▶ The value set will be shown.
▶ The ± indicator flashes.
3. Press the button Up button or the Down button to select the sign.
4. Press the Right button to move to the next-place digit.
5. Use the Up and Down buttons to select a value.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all remaining digit places.
7. Press the SET button to confirm the set value.
▶ The laser beam aligns itself to the setting you entered.
▶ The auto-leveling display and the laser beam flash while alignment is in progress.
If 15 seconds pass without a button being pressed while the setting is being entered, the current
setting is used.
6.4.2
Setting inclination by manually moving the laser beam
Inclination can also be set directly by moving the laser beam. Make sure that the safety lock is not activated.
1. Press the Up button or the Down button.
▶ The laser beam moves up or down.
▶ The value shown on the display changes accordingly.
Inclination can also be set directly by moving the laser beam. Check that the locking function has
not been activated.
2. Press the Up button and the Down button simultaneously to zero the laser.
The laser beam moves immediately to the 00.000 % position.

Setting beam position
Set the beam position after you have set the inclination. Make sure that the safety lock is not activated.
1. Press the Right button or the Left button to set the beam position.
▶ The laser beam moves slowly at first. The speed of movement increases if you hold the button down.
▶ The relative position of the laser beam is shown on the display.
The maximum range of adjustment for left/right alignment is ±8.5 °, which corresponds to 9 m over
a distance of 30 m.
2. The laser beam flashes when a limit position is reached. If the beam position is beyond this limit you
have to reposition the laser and restart the procedure for adjusting the left/right alignment of the beam
position.
Try to set up the laser in such a way that the laser beam is in the correct left/right position when it
is in the middle of the range of adjustment.
3. To center the beam position, press the Right button and the Left button at the same time. If you are
using the remote control unit, press the two arrow buttons at the same time

Automatic alignment with the target plate
The laser beam can automatically align with the horizontal center of the target plate.
Considerable atmospheric changes can affect the range for automatic alignment. Blow air through the pipe
and try to prevent the occurrence of temperature differences inside the pipe.
