5 Preparations at the workplace
WARNING

▶ Before inserting the battery, make sure that the product is switched off.
▶ Remove the battery before making any adjustments to the power tool or before changing accessories.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
5.1 Charging the battery
1. Connect the supply cord to the charger and then plug the supply cord plug into the power outlet.
2. Insert the battery in the charger.
▶ The LED on the charger flashes green while charging is in progress.
▶ The LED on the charger shows steady green when charging has completed.
▶ The LED on the charger flashes yellow if the battery is outside the permissible temperature range for
charging. Allow the battery to cool down/warm up and restart the charging operation.
▶ The LED on the charger shows red if a fault occurs. Consult Hilti Service.
▶ The LED on the charger remains off when the battery is not connected or not correctly connected to
the charger.
3. Remove the battery from the charger when the charging operation has completed.
4. Unplug the supply cord from the power outlet and disconnect the supply cord from the charger.
