5. Before using the equipment for
the fi rst time
5.1 Assembling the base frame (Fig. 3-7)
Place the base frame on a suitable surface
with the feet (6) pointing upward so that there
is no risk of the device being damaged.
Open the securing bracket (11) and rotate
the feet (6) upward. To fix the legs (6) in the
folded-out position, pull the feet (6) apart and
push the transverse lock (8) through to the
stop.
Caution! Particularly when pushing through
the transverse lock (8), make sure that your
hands are not caught in the mechanism and
trapped.
Close the securing bracket (11) again and
turn the base frame over so that it stands on
its legs.
Fit the two supporting rollers (10) into the
square profile of the arm (3). Secure them
with the locking grips (9).
Place the two clamping devices (1) on the
guide rails (2) of the base frame. Tension the-
se with the clamping levers (5).
If necessary, the clamping force of the clam-
ping devices (1) can be adjusted with the
adjusting screw (12). To do this, loosen the
lock nut (13) and either screw the screw (12)
further in to increase the clamping force or
screw it further out to reduce the clamping
force. Then retighten the lock nut (13) after-
wards.
5.2 Fitting the device to the base frame
(Fig. 8-13)
Depending on the size of the device to be
fitted, the extension plates (7) may need to be
used. If the holes are spaced too far apart on
the device, fit the extension plates as shown
in Fig. 8, 9.
Loosen the clamping devices (1) and arrange
the spacing between them so that it matches
your device. You can check this by placing the
device on top. Once the spacing of the holes
has been correctly adjusted, the clamping
devices (1) can be tightened again.
Then place the device on the base frame and
fasten it with the socket head screws (15, 16),
washers (17, 18), spring washers (19) and
nuts (20).
Note: Depending on the dimensions of the
device being fastened, you can use either the
short (15) or long socket head screws (16).
