Correct Pruning Techniques

Fruits trees should be thinned out only after harvest or in spring. Ornament
plants should be thinned out only in autumn and the spring.
Picture 1
Do not leave branch stubs after cutting. There is risk
of disease transmission.
Picture 2
Prune young sprouts only a few centimetres over
the bud. First make a rough cut to remove the
branch and then cut precisely at the desired
position.
Picture 3
Cuts for increasing growth of the plant should only
be carried out on young plants.
Picture 4
Heading back resp. thinning-out cuts should only be
carried out on old plants.

Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing

Tighten all nuts and screws.
Keep dirt, moisture and raw sap from the blades, as this will lead to
corrosion. Corrosion will make cuts difficult and lead to disease
transmission. For protecting the blades from corrosion, apply a light film of
lubrication oil on the metal parts of the unit. Proper care of the tree pruner
will guarantee usability for many years.
