Operating Elements

The breeding machine is switched on and off with the ON/OFF button
POWER (12). The power control LED (14) turns on and indicates that the
breeding machine is ready for use. If the machine is unplugged the settings
will not be lost. When connecting to power mains again, the breeding
machine returns to the previously adjusted operating mode, which means the
unit is already switched on and there is no need to press the ON/OFF button
again.
With the button MODE (11) you can select the following values:
Temperature, Humidity, Auto-Turn Mechanism.
To increase the value, press the function button + (9) and to decrease the
value, press the function button – (10).
After switching on, the display shows the factory set value. Press the function
buttons + or –, and the factory preset value starts flashing. With the function
buttons + or – the value can be changed. After setting the value, it flashes for
5 seconds and then turns to the actual value. The new preset value is stored
and the breeding machine will adjust the set value during the next minutes.
Hint: The breeding machine needs approx. 20 – 30 seconds for increasing the
temperature in 0.1°C steps and approx. 2 – 3 minutes for decreasing the
temperature in 0.1°C steps, depending on the ambient temperature.
If the temperature is displayed, press the MODE button to select the humidity
setting mode. The preset humidity value is displayed. For increasing humidity,
press the function button + (9) and for decreasing the humidity value, press
the function button – (10). If the humidity value is too high you may open the
lid for short time in order to release water condensation.
To call the auto-turn function, press the button MODE once more. The value 0
indicates a switched off auto-turn mechanism and the value 1 indicates a
switched on auto-turn. Press the function buttons – or +, in order to change
the value to 1. At the same time the LED (13) turns on and indicates that
auto-turn function is on. If auto-turn mechanism is on, the motor will move
every 10 minutes for 2 seconds. Hint: Make sure the turning pipes have
sufficient contact with the frame holder. If not (due to high humidity or water
condensation) the turning pipes cannot turn properly.
The last setting is recorded and remains on the display. To see the other
settings, press the button MODE.
