Below you will find some hints on trimming hedges:

Before cutting bushes, scrubs or hedges,
remove thick branches or similar material.
Make sure that there are no small animals
hidden in the bushes or hedges.

There are different cutting techniques and
certain seasons to be observed when trimming
hedges or bushes. For detailed information
see appropriate technical literature.

Please note the local rest periods when
working with the hedge trimmer in order to
avoid disturbances.

If a hedge has to be cut back very substantial-
ly, trim the hedge in two passes.

First cut the hedge to the desired height and stretch a string along the hedge
at the desired height. Guide the blades of the hedge trimmer at an angle of 10
– 15° to the hedge in order to get a straight cut.

Trim the hedge to a trapezoidal shape cutting from the bottom to the top.

Round the top edges of the hedge.

Finally trim the bottom edges back.

Appropriately dispose of cut materials.
