Trouble Shooting

The following list will help to correct malfunctions on the gas burner to the extent that quick
operatability can be maintained again while using, and forwarding to the relevant repair faci-
lity is enabled.
NOTE After removal or dismantling of assemblies or lines as well as gauges, these
must be cleaned thoroughly prior to reassembly and checked for function and
tightness before putting into operation again.
CAUTION Malfunctions on the gas equipment are to be corrected exclusively by trained per-
sonnel with authorization.

Smell of gas during operation
Cause
• Gas bottle empty
• Gas bottle valve shut
• High-pressure hose not con-
nected correctly
• High-pressure hose defective
• Control valve shut
• Pressure regulator at high-
pressure hose defective
• Securing device against hose
breakage has actuated
• Flame control push-button not
depressed
• Electronic igniter control push-
button not depressed
• Ignition spark does not flash
over to burner head
• Gas used up
• Flame sensor defective
• Securing device against hose
breakage has actuated
• Control valve defective
• Gas system untight
Gas Burner
Corrective Action
• Replace gas bottle
• Open gas bottle valve
• Check the connection on the
safety quick-connector and on
the gas bottle
• Replace high-pressure hose
• Open control valve; adjust to
center position
• Replace pressure regulator
• Press the push-button on the
securing device for approx. 15
seconds; when actuation takes
place again, there is a leakage
in the gas system. Request
repair.
• Press operation push-button
• Press operation push-button
• Adjust ignition electrode
• Replace gas bottle
• Replace flame sensor
• Press the push-button on the
securing device for approx. 15
seconds; when actuation takes
place again, there is a leakage
in the gas system. Request

• Shut gas bottle valve; check
"Gas" control knob and gas
control valve; replace defec-
tive part.
DANGER
Avoid sparks! Shut off gas
burner immediately and
vent area around the gas
burner well.
