Inspection of LPG Systems

LPG systems, for which the safety depends on the mounting conditions on site, are to be
checked in accordance with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (OSH)
• Prior to the initial starting of operation,
• Prior to each starting of operation at a new location.
NOTE The purpose of this inspection is to ensure proper assembling and secure
functioning by persons authorized for this.
According to the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (OSH), the employer has to deter-
mine and specify - within the extent of the risk/danger evaluation – the inspection type, scope
and the appointed dates. Recommended and proven appointed dates for recurrent inspec-
tions are at least every 2 years through persons authorized for this.
NOTE For the inspection of LPG systems, the respective applicable local regulations
are to be observed!
Appointed inspection dates, definitions concerning the qualifications of the
inspection personnel as well as the type of proof are to be inferred from the
regulations.
