Before first Use
Before first use, clean the fork thermometer as described below in chapter
"Cleaning" on page 11.
Inserting the Batteries and selecting the Temperature
1. Open the battery compartment (8) at the rear of the fork thermometer.
2. Insert two batteries of the type LR03 1.2 V (AAA) into the battery
compartment. Pay attention to the proper polarity.
3. Slide the temperature toggle switch (9), which is situated on top of the
battery compartment, to the setting °C for Celsius or to the setting °F
for Fahrenheit.
4. To close the battery compartment, first insert the pin into the opening
and press the lid down until it locks audible.
Setting the Display
1. Press the button MEAT (4) to switch on the thermometer. If you keep
the MEAT button pressed for 5 seconds, the thermometer will switch
off.
2. Press the button MEAT several times to select one of the different
types of meat:
BEEF
VEAL
LAMB
PORK
CHICKEN
TURKEY

Note:
The setting of the doneness is not indicated for all types of meat. No
selection is possible for the below mentioned table elements, marked with
the icon ----- .
