Do not force the unit while working. Always use common sense during work.
Please observe the national regulations concerning noise protection. The use of
the garden tool is restricted on certain days (holidays) and at certain times
(noonday).
To avoid injuries preferably remove the battery from the unit when not in use and
after work.
Hints on Trimming Hedges

Before cutting bushes, scrubs or hedges, remove thick branches or similar
material. Cut thick branches with pruning shears only.

Make sure that there are no small animals hidden in the bushes or hedges.

There are different cutting techniques and certain seasons to
be observed when trimming hedges or bushes. If a hedge has
to be cut back very substantially, trim the hedge in two
passes.

First cut the hedge to the desired height and stretch a string
along the hedge at the desired height. Guide the blades of the
hedge trimmer at an angle of 10 – 15° to the hedge in order to
get a straight cut.

Trim the hedge to a trapezoidal shape cutting from the bottom
to the top. Round the top edges of the hedge.

Finally trim the bottom edges back. Appropriately dispose of cut material.

Before cutting, inspect the area that the hedge trimmer will be used in. Make
sure not to touch hard objects such fences, poles, stones etc. This will cause
damages to the blade bar.

If the hedge trimmer becomes jammed, never attempt to remove cut material
from the blade bar while the motor is running. First stop the motor and then
carefully remove the obstruction.

Do not press down the hedge trimmer while cutting. Always avoid overloading
the motor. Do not try to cut thick branches or to force the blade bar through
the surface to be cut.

The hedge trimmer has a double-sided blade bar with cutting teeth on both
sides. This allows cutting actions in two directions.

When cutting is completed, always place the protective cover over the blade
bar.
