7. Grab the handle (1) of the lid (2) and open the deep fryer. Carefully put the
frying basket into the container. Pay attention, hot oil can spatter. If the oil
is bubbling with ascending foam, carefully raise and lower the frying bas-
ket.
8. Make sure the detachable handle is placed in the provided openings of the
lid, so the lid can be closed while cooking. You can observe the cooking
process through the window glass (2) in the lid. If necessary, very carefully
wipe off condensation from the glass while opening the lid.
9. After frying is done, open the lid using the handle (1) and allow steam to
escape. Hook the frying basket on the edges of the oil container (9) and let
excessive oil drip down. Topple over the fried foods into a suitable bowl or
remove the fried foods with suitable utensils from the frying basket.
10. Turn the thermostat controller completely counter clockwise to the left and
switch off the deep fryer. Then pull the power plug.
11. Allow the hot oil to cool down and remove debris and coatings or breading
after each use. Preferably pour the cooled oil into a bowl and clean the oil
container thoroughly. Insert a fine oil strainer or a coffee filter into the small
frying basket and filter the oil back into the oil container.
Fondue Operation
Use only broth or pure vegetable oil. The fat must be suitable for raising to
high temperatures and neutral in taste. Types of fat that tend to spatter or
smoke when heated are not suitable. Other oil or animal fats should therefore
not be used.
1. Open the lid (2) and remove the frying basket (3) from the deep fat fryer.
2. Fill the cooking oil container (9) to the
max. mark with fat or broth. Do not fill
with cheese or chocolate, as residues
from such substances will be difficult to
remove, particularly from the area around
the heating element.
3. Put the fondue insert (11) onto the
appliance.
4. Plug the power plug into a socket
earthed according to regulations. Switch
on the deep fryer by turning the thermo-
stat controller (6) clockwise. The POW-
ER control light (5) turns on and indicates
