Das Schleifen
Spannen Sie den Schleifstein in eine Bohrmaschine oder einen
Akku-Schrauber ein.
Zuerst entfernen Sie mit dem flachen Rand des Schleifsteins (3)
Kerben und Grate.
Danach Schärfen Sie das Messer mit dem konischen Teil des
Schleifsteins (6). Bewegen Sie den Schleifstein auf der Messerkante
von innen nach außen, und heben Sie ihn kurz vor dem
Messerende ab. Drücken Sie dabei nicht fest auf.
Bei nur wenig geschrägten Messerkanten kippen Sie den
Schleifstein nach hinten (7).
Bei Rasenmähermessern achten sie darauf, auf beiden Seiten
ungefähr gleich viel Material abzunehmen, damit keine Unwucht
auftritt.
Grinding
Fix the grinding stone a drilling machine or cordless drill.
Start grinding by removing dents and burs with the flat side (3) of the
grinding stone.
Sharpen the blade with the conical side of the grinding stone (6).
Move the grinding stone on the edge of the blade from inner to outer
area. Do not press the grinding stone. Lift up the grinding stone
when reaching the tip of the blade.
Follow the original shape of the knife's edge. Adjust position of the
grinding stone accordingly (7).
For grass cutter, make sure that on both blades about the same
amount of material is grinded off to ensure balance during rotation.
