For the following instructions it is assumed
that your dealer has installed and pre-ad-
justed the set.
To Switch "On"
Press the on/off button ®: on the receiver.
Volume,
brightness
and
colour
contrast
are
automatically
set to medium
values,
and
can
be varied
to suit your taste
by
means
of the controls on the remote con-
trol.
Note
When the set is first switched on program-
me 1 will be selected automatically. If desi-
red any other channel can be selected im-
mediately even before the picture appears.
Standby
lf you do not wish to watch a programme
immediately
the set can
be switched
to
"Standby" by pressing the off button (AUS)
on the Tele-Pilot for several seconds.
A red spot #* will appear in the window
and the picture and sound will be suppres-
sed. As soon as you press the on button
(EIN) on the Tele-Pilot the appropriate pro-
gramme wil! appear without delay.
Programme Selection
Depending upon the number of programmes
you can receive in your area, up to sixteen
different programmes can be selected using
the automatic station selection device.
Point the Tele-Pilot towards the television
receiver and press the required programme
button. Button (») will select the next pro-
gramme up, i. e.: 1, 2, 3... 16, and button
(~4) will select the next programme
down,
i. e.: 16, 15, 14...1. As each programme
is selected, the programme
number fights
up in the window
'* on the receiver.
Colour Contrast, Brightness
and Volume
Two buttons (+) and (~—) are provided for
colour contrast
(Farbkontrast),
brightness
(Helligkeit)
and
volume
(Lautstarke),
and
increase or decrease the functions respec-
tively.
Setting the Colour Contrast (Farbkontrast)
Ideally, the colour contrast should
be set
for the most natural colour. Too much co-
lour will cause
"blooming"
and too little
colour will render a "washed-out" look, Use
skin colour as a guide.
Brightness (Helligkeit) and
Volume (Lautstarke)
:
These should be set to your personal taste,
and the setting will depend upon the cha-
racter of the transmission and viewing con-
ditions.
To Switch Off
To switch the set off completely press the
Changing the Batteries
of the Remote Control
The
batteries
fitted
in the Tele-Pilot
wiil
give long service. When they need changing
remove
the bottom
cover.
Make
sure that
the new batteries are inserted with the cor-
rect polarity. Always use leakproof batteries.
Hint for the Dealer:
After having switched'on
the set, volume,
brigthness
and
colour
contrast
are auto-
matically
set to medium
values.
If these
values
should
not
suit the
taste
of the
customer,
they can
be varied
by means
of the coarse
controls
(HI)
(brightness),
(LG) (volume) and (FKI) (colour contrast)
on the main chassis.
