INSTALLING THE VALVE
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to improper installation.
▶ Installation may be carried out by trained technicians only with
the appropriate tools.
▶ Secure the system against unintentional activation.
▶ After installation, ensure that the process is restarted in a cont-
rolled manner. Observe the sequence!
1. Connect supply voltage.
2. Charge the device with medium.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to heavy device.
During transportation or installation work, the device may fall down
and cause injuries.
▶ Transport, install and remove heavy device with the aid of a
second person only.
▶ Use suitable tools.
WARNING!
Damage to valve body, valve seat seal or diaphragm.
▶ To avoid damage, the device must be in MANUAL operating
state during installation.
Devices in their factory default state already have their operating
state set to MANUAL.

Installation of devices with
threaded socket connection, flange
connection or clamp connection

1. If not already preset, set MANUAL operating state.
2. I f device is already electrically connected, shut off supply voltage.
Wait until LED illuminated ring goes out.
3. I nstall device in the pipeline.
4. E lectrical connection of the device.
5. S et AUTOMATIC operating state.

Preconditions: MANUAL operating state, supply voltage switched
off.
Preparation for installation:
1. C lear impurities from pipelines (seal material, metal chips, etc.).
2. I nstall filter: Required for devices with approval as per EN 161.
According to EN 161 "Automatic shut-off valves for gas burners and
gas appliances", a dirt trap, which prevents the penetration of a 1
mm test pin, must be installed upstream of the valve in the pipeline.

WARNING!
The following must be heeded when installing the device in
the system.
The device and relief bore must be accessible for inspections and
maintenance work.
