4. Intended use

- Measuring and displaying electric quantities in the range of measurement category CAT III (up to 1000 V/DC or 750
V/AC to ground potential, in accordance with EN 61010-1) and all lower categories.
- Measurement of direct and alternating voltages to max. 1000 V/DC or 750 V/AC.
- M easurement of insulation resistances of up to 4000 MΩ with an auxiliary supply of 125 V to max. 1000 V/DC in
accordance with EN 61557-2.
- Measurement of resistances of up to 400 Ω with a test current of approx. 200 mA
- Acoustic continuity check (< 35 ohms).
The measuring functions are selected with a rotary switch.
The low-resistance measuring range is secured against overload with a ceramic quick-break fuse. The voltage in the
measuring circuit must not exceed 1000 V/DC or 750 V/AC.
The measuring device may only be used by electrical specialists or technically skilled persons familiar with the re-
quired standards and possible resulting risks.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged. Improper use can result
in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. For safety and approval purposes, you
must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties
only together with the operating instructions.
