3) Check the length of the grain tubes (with the machine
completely hoisted) to avoid bendings and consequently
breaking of the tube, as well as the formation of loops (Fig. 6).
ATTENTION
Always follow the indications recommended by the
Manufacturer for the transport of the seeder.
When transporting on public roads, use the proper safety
pins and release splitpins to block the folding side frames
(GIGANTE) in place.
3.1.4 UNHOOKING THE SEED DRILL TOWED BY THE
TRACTOR
The attachment to the tractor is a very dangerous phase.
Be very careful in following the instructions for the whole
operation.
The correct positioning of the tractor/seeder is determined by
placing the unit on a horizontal surface.
1) Lower the supporting base elements.
2) Slowly lower the seed drill until it rests completely on the ground.
3) Unhook the first and second point.

3.2 SEED DISTRIBUTOR

3.2.1 SEED DISTRIBUTOR
The doser (fig. 8) the most important part for seeder operation, is
located underneath the seed hopper. Motive power is transmitted
to it by the drive wheel through gears (with ratios proportional to
the width of the work to be carried out) and chains. Thanks to a
gearbox (1 fig. 8) it allows the distributor roller (2) to operate with
two gear ratios, by changing the position of the red toothed wheel
(3 fig. 9). In position «N», the gear ratio is 1:1, as imposed by the
pair of toothed wheels Z19; when the wheel (3) is shifted to the
«M» position, the distributor wheel halves the number of
revolutions, as the drive is then composed of the red drive wheel
Z14 and the drawn wheel Z28.
When a dosing test, as described in chapter 3.2.3, is performed, it
may be observed that the quantity of product distributed is halved
(see table on page 60-61) compared to the test using ratio 1:1.
The position «M» of the toothed wheel (3) is necessary for the
distribution of small seeds and quantities.
The screw rod (4) enables the degree to which the gate opens to
be adjusted depending on the value of the graduated scale,
calculated using the table and the distribution test (chapter 3.2.3).
ATTENTION
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
The locking spring (5 fig. 8) enables the opening range of the gate
to be modified which, in turn, modifies the capacity of the dosing
roller at the same time.
The position «A» (Fig. 10) enables the gate to be opened on a
graduated scale, ranging from 0 to 110, with maximum capacity of
the dosing roller; in the «B» position, on the other hand, there is
a gate opening range of 0 to 25 and the capacity of the roller is
reduced.
It is important always to remember to close the gate completely (0
on the graduated scale) in order to invert the position of the locking
spring (5).

DANGER
USE AND MAINTENANCE
Do not close the gate when there are seeds inside the
doser: this would result in the dosing parts being broken.
When correctly placing the locking spring a click will be
heard indicating that the operation has been completed
successfully.
