12.3 Mounting the solar cell on the camera
Fit the solar cell (A) with the round side of the hinge bracket (J) into the matching
piece (K) on the camera. You may need to unscrew the two lateral fixing screws
a little for the hinge bracket (J) to snap completely into the matching piece.
Orient the solar cell (A) such that the sun's rays hit the surface of the solar cell
perpendicularly (at a 90° angle). Before the solar cell can be swivelled forward
away from the wall, you must align it with its long side flush with the camera.
Moreover, ensure that the outlet of the connection cable of the solar cell faces
the wall.
Use the two lateral fixing screws provided for the matching piece (K) to fix the
solar cell.
Position the solar cell (A) at the desired angle and tighten the screw on the
hinge.
12.4 Mounting the solar cell in case of separate mounting
Only mount the solar cell (A) on a stable surface.
Ensure that the place of installation of the solar cell (A) is protected against
manipulation. With this in mind, you should mount the solar cell (A) at a mini-
mum height of 2.5 m.
If dowels are needed to fix the solar cell (A) at the chosen place of installation
(depending on the configuration), mark the exact position of the three mounting
holes through the bracket.
Align the bracket so that the fasteners of the solar cell (A) face upwards.
Make sure you do not damage any existing wires or pipes when drilling mount-
ing holes or tightening screws.
If necessary, insert the 3 dowels into the mounting holes.
Before installing the wall mount, attach it to the solar cell (A).
Align the wall mount so that the outlet of the connection cable points to the three
mounting holes.
