Notes on measurement with catman
Easy/AP
All the interrogator setting are protected in a catman
Easy/AP measurement
project: the parameters you set with the aid of the spectrum display, the strain
calculation data and the zero balance values. So after setup, save the current
measurement project.
The maximum sampling rate of the devices is between 100 measurements/s
and 1000 measurements/s, depending on the version. For sole operation with
an interrogator, you must not set a sampling rate for DAQ jobs in the settings,
that is higher than the maximum sampling rate of the interrogator being used.
But this does not apply if other devices, such as an MGCplus, are connected
at the same time. In this case, the last value measured by the interrogator is
recorded repeatedly until new values are available. catman
Easy/AP keeps
adding identical values, so that the interrogator stores and displays in graphs
exactly the same number of measured values as the MGCplus.
NOTE
The slow DAQ job sampling rate is not available for interrogators.
Some of the other functions, such as sensor scan, channel information, sensor
assignment via the sensor database or zero setting are also not available for
interrogator channels. With interrogators, zero setting is performed exclusively
by the calculation channels. But otherwise, you can use the (calculated) strain
channels in exactly the same way as the other channels of catman
Easy/AP:
use them in additional calculations, display them in graphs, export them, etc.
