FITTING THE GUARD
The guard (5) must be fitted before the
machine is used.
1.
Insert the screw from the inside on the
left-hand side.
2.
Fit the washer and safety ring (A) from the
right-hand side. The safety ring (A) can
possibly be omitted.
3.
Firmly tighten the knurled nut.
FIG. 2
FITTING THE CROSS GUIDE
The cross guide (3) is used for mitre sawing.
The cross guide (3) can be used to support the
material as it passes through the saw.
FIG. 3
DUST BLOWER
The dust blower keeps the workpiece clear of
sawdust for precise figure sawing. Always direct
the air jet from the dust blower towards the
saw blade and workpiece for best results. You
only need to bend the tube to adjust to the
required position.
Installation
1.
Fit the dust blower in the hole on the top
of the saw.
2.
Turn the hose clockwise into the hole.
FIG. 4
REMOVING THE SAW BLADE
Unplug the machine from the mains before
carrying out maintenance work.
1.
Loosen the lock button until the spring is
no longer tensioned.
2.
Push the upper blade holder carefully down
and lift up the blade a little to remove.
3.
Allow the blade to drop down a little and
push it forward to release it from the
bottom holder.
USE
•
The saw blade only cuts on the downward
stroke.
•
Push the workpiece slowly and with
minimum pressure against the saw blade.
•
Hold the workpiece on the table with both
hands and push it slowly against the saw
blade to prevent the blade from breaking
or not sawing.
•
For best results, the saw blade must be
sharp.
•
Use the correct type of saw blade. Which
saw blade is used depends on the
thickness of the wood and the cut you
want to achieve. Note the following
general rules: The thinner and harder the
wood, the finer the saw teeth.
•
Use a small blade to saw tight curves.
•
Unplug the machine from the mains
before carrying out maintenance work.
•
Saw blades are available as universal
blades in DIY or hardware stores.
•
Remove tools and other items from the
saw table before using the machine.
•
Saw blades wear out faster when:
–
Sawing plywood.
–
Sawing in wood that is thicker than
the stroke length of the blade.
–
Sawing in hardwood.
–
Side pressure.
STARTING / STOPPING
Follow the safety instructions and other
regulations.
•
Start - Press the green ON button to start
the saw.
•
Stop - Press the red OFF button to switch
