• Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Replace-
ment parts can be obtained from your dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for your prod-
uct.

ty devices are not children's toys. Plastic bags, foils
and small parts can be swallowed and lead to choking.
- Keep packaging material, packaging and trans-
port safety devices away from children.

8. Assembly / Before commissioning

m Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Your log splitter is not completely assembled for pack-
aging reasons.
Fitting the wheels, see Fig. 4 and Fig. 19
• Insert the wheel axle (14a) through the holes.
• Mount one washer (14b) on each side, then the
wheel (14).
• Mount one washer (14b) on each side, then the split
pin (14d).
• Push the safety caps (14c) on each side.
Fitting control arms, Fig. 7
• Pull out the cotter pin (a) and remove the retaining
bolt (b)
• Grease the sheet metal lugs at the top and bottom
• Insert the control arms (6). At the same time, insert
the rocker switch (c) through the slot in the control
lever (8).
• Insert the retaining bolt (b) through the metal plates
and the control arms (6)
• Secure the retaining bolt (b) at the bottom again with
the cotter pin (a)
• Hold both fillister head screws of the retaining claw
(4) using two fingers so that they do not fall into
the tube and remove the nuts, then fit the retaining
claw to the control arms (6) with the long side facing
down.
• Fig. 7a Adjust the stop screws (d) on both sides so
that the retaining claws (4) do not touch the riving
knife (2)
Fitting nozzles, Fig. 19
• Take the nozzles (11) and fix them to the base plate
on both sides with the M10x25 hexagonal bolts (11a)
and washer.
Fitting the protective bracket, Fig. 6
• Connect the protective bracket (5) into the holder
• Connect the hexagonal bolt M10x60 through the
hole, use a washer on both sides and tighten the
hexagonal nut (16) well
• Fit all the protective brackets in the same way

• Mount the chain hook (22) onto the holder on the
splitting column (3) using the M12x35 hexagonal
bolts with washer and hexagonal nut (22a)
Mounting the trunk lifter, Fig. 8
• Mount the trunk lifter (19) onto the holder on the base
plate using the M12x70 hexagonal bolts with washer
and hexagonal nut (19a). The hexagonal nut must be
on the right side in the direction of the wheels.
• Attach the chain (20) onto the bracket on the outside
using the M10x30 hexagonal bolts with washer and
hexagonal nut (20a). Only unscrew the hexagonal nut
enough so that the chain (20) can move freely. Atten-
tion! The chain (20) must turn smoothly on the screw!

• Insert the locking lever (21) into the holder, use a
washer on the left and right and the M10x55 hex-
agonal bolts with hexagonal nuts (21a) and tighten.
• Check the ease of movement of the grid (21b)!

Start up

m Attention!

before commissioning!
