6 Troubleshooting

Type of malfunction
No light
Luminous intensity deteriorates
Illuminant fails to light up and „OVER-
TEMP" is shown in the display
In case of any malfunctions of your cold light source that cannot be rectifi ed by means of the above measures, please contact your
specialised dealer or Carl Zeiss.
CAUTION! Do not open the device yourself. Repairs may only be carried out by authorised and skilled personnel.

Possible cause

No light guide adapted.
Unsuitable light guide adapted.
Light guide not adapted into light
guide holder deep enough to the
limit-stop
(Display shows "Light guide!")
Device not switched on
Plug not in socket
No voltage
Electronic parts are overheated
LED or electronic parts are overhe-
ated

Remedial action
Insert a suitable light guide into the
light guide holder
Switch on the device
Put the plug into the socket
Check voltage
Ensure suffi cient cooling, re-start the
device after a longer cooling-down
period
Ensure that ventilation openings are
not covered, start the device after a
longer cooling-down period
